Dr. Leonard Sax is a former pediatrician/child psychiatrist.
He explains the differences between boys and girls in the classroom, as well as other key differences in how they deal with aggression, sex, drugs, and risk.  He is currently working toward reform in public school education and explains how gender-neutral education goes against the natural grain.

Interesting Points

Girls [are] likely to bond first and boys tend to be aggressive first. Boys tend to be more physically
aggressive and girls tend to be more socially manipulative. The resting female brain is as active
as an activated male brain. Her brain is never at rest.

Boys benefit by the ‘walk and talk’ style of counselling (stimulates the limbic system) rather than
the sit face to face set up often preferred by girls.

Male brain secretes less serotonin – makes males more impulsive and fidgety. (Boys 3 to 1 more likely diagnosed learning disorder) Girls secrete more oxytocin – makes females more
immediately empathetic to others pain and needs, less inclined to a hyperactive disorder.
